Sponsor the Foray

In 2025, NEMF received 11 applications for scholarships to attend the annual foray. Applicants included artists, students, foragers and mycophiles from underrepresented groups and communities, and junior amateur mycologists.

Every year, any profit from the annual foray goes directly towards offering scholarships for the next year's foray. In 2025, we were only able to offer five scholarships for awardees to attend.

Our mission is to stimulate interest in mycology by providing a forum where everyone can share their knowledge and experience through cooperative study of the funga of Northeastern North America for scientific and educational purposes. The best way to create an environment where everyone can share their knowledge is to continue offering scholarships so mycology is truly accessible to everyone.

Our goal for the 2026 foray is to expand our ability to create a truly inclusive annual foray. Sponsorships are a key piece of achieving this goal, and your help is critical.
