Getting there from New York City:

There is an Amtrak train from  Penn  Station  to  Montréal (about 10 hours) -- and  there is a  train  from  Montréal  to Lac-Bouchette  (about  7  hours)  but  this does not run on  September 4th / Labor Day.  Round trip fare is about $160.

Newark has non-stop flights to both Montréal and Québec -- about 1 1/2 hours.
LaGuardia has non-stop flights to Montréal but the flights to Québec make a stop in Montreal and take longer.
About $400 roundtrip.


Driving from Québec (airport) to Lac-Bouchette and the Hermitage -- detailed

Simplified:   Drive North on Autoroute 73 N / Route 175; turn left onto Provincial Secondary Route 169. Finally, take Rte. 155.

Driving from Montréal (airport) to Lac-Bouchette and the Hermitage -- detailed

Simplified:  Drive East on Autoroute 40, then Northeast on Rte. 155.
